How to use The Book Shelf

There are a few ways to use The Book Shelf:

1. Browse the archive. If you don't have a clue what you want to read, and are feeling quite open-minded, then you could simply take a browse through all of the books on the site, check out the blurb and see some of the books themes etc to see if you might find it interesting. Clicking on a books tags may show you a book that you've read, that shares similar themes.

2. The Popular. Check out the popular books, that others have been checking out. You never know, their favourite book could be your next one.

3. Search. Choose to search by Theme, Genre, Setting, Narrative Type, Adaptation Type, Series, Publisher, Author or Year of Publication. This is particularly useful for anyone who likes specific themes or types of books.

4. Use a Book. If you already have a book that you love, take a browse (using the search bar at the top of the screen) to see if you can find that book on the site (if not, why not suggest it? It might make you realise themes or other factors that you love, allowing you to search for other books that fit those same factors). If the book is there, why not click some of the tags that interest you, to find similar books that might interest you.

5. Follow. Why not Follow The Book Shelf by RSS, so that you can keep up-to-date with every new book that is added to the site. We try to add books as regularly as possible, and with your help, we can add even more.
